We are pleased to announce that Eurodesk UK has joined the Internationalism Alliance.
An initiative of the British Council, the Internationalism Alliance brings together more than 50 organisations who champion international experience for all children and young people in the UK. The Prince’s Trust, UK Youth, My Life My Say, Scouts UK and many others have signed up to connect the UK’s next generation. Their pledge states:
“We want to offer every child and young person in the United Kingdom, whatever their background or interests, the opportunity to learn from – and connect with – other people in the UK and around the world.
The UK’s future will be shaped by our international links and the way we work with partners to tackle the challenges facing us all.
We pledge to do what we can to give our children and young people the understanding, skills and confidence to make those connections for themselves to enrich their lives and the lives of everyone in the UK.”
This fits with Eurodesk’s belief that every young person should have access to opportunities to experience the world to help them become active citizens, learn new skills, and develop self-confidence. Joining the Alliance enhances Eurodesk’s connections across the UK and will help to promote our information services, notably our Opportunity Finder.
Julia Handelman-Smith, Head of Internationalism at the British Council, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Eurodesk to the Internationalism Alliance, and look forward to working together.”
