Youth together for refugees toolkit

Published 22 May 2020

This toolkit collects best practices for youth workers in the field of migration from four European countries  – UK, Italy, Spain, and Greece –, to address daily work-life promoting multidisciplinary approaches, and empowerment in line with the European values of democracy and active citizenship.

The "Youth Together For Refugees" project and toolkit aim to collect best practices from all of the partners’ countries, and to reach as many people that work with young refugees as possible. The aim is to provide them with the right tools to address their daily work-life, to acquire new skills fostering their success and future achievements; promoting multidisciplinary approaches and empowerment for a positive social change.

It is divided into three main sections that cover and explore different topics: Mental Health and Wellbeing Assisting Refugees, Diversity and Interlanguage. At the end of each section, there are practical activities that can be implemented in the daily work routine, without requiring consistent budget or structures.

This toolkit was created for all youth workers – volunteering and employed – in the field of migration, and particularly those working with young refugees and asylum seekers. It can also be very helpful for all workers involved in those activities such as social workers, coordinators, and their managers.
